Application development and maintenance of the Prevention Research Synthesis Web (PRS-Web)
To help identify evidence-based interventions (EBIs) and best practices that will assist HIV prevention planners and providers in the U.S. to select interventions most appropriate for HIV prevention in their communities; while permitting systematic reviews of published HIV/AIDS interventions to effectiveness identify studies that have significant positive results.
The PRS-Web database allows CDC Health Scientists to review over 80,000 published interventions, housed in a single location. PRS-Web helps to identify gaps in the existing research and recommends directions for future study. Interventions with greatest impact are published to the CDC website for use by HIV prevention researchers, service providers, users, planners, and policy makers, providing proven interventions for dissemination and implementation. https://www.cdc.gov/hiv/dhap/prb/prs/
